This desk is a fantastic addition to my study, providing both durability and ample storage space. I designed it to incorporate hidden storage for my tower PC, using upcycled oak kitchen worktop offcuts and two affordable roller tool chests sourced from eBay. To attach the worktop to the tool chests, I used double-ended threaded inserts, which feature M8 threaded rods on one end and wood screw threads on the other.

This not only ensures a sturdy connection but also adds a touch of industrial style to the desk's design. The desk now features built-in shelving and lighting, and houses my Apple Mac, which I use every day for my work as a software engineer. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or just looking for a unique and practical workspace solution, this desk is sure to inspire your creativity.
